About Me
I approached the field of interpretation after graduating from a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and a Master's Degree in Languages, Cultures and International Communication, both at the University of Milan. During my BA I moved to Germany to attend the Technische Universität Darmstadt, where I studied for two semesters and wrote my final dissertation. I then won a call for applications from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs which allowed me to work in Australia as an assistant to the Consul at the Italian Consulate General in Sydney, where I lived for one year. After returning to Milan I completed a second Master's Degree in Traduction Professionnelle et Interprétation at the Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori in collaboration with Université de Strasbourg ITIRI with the language combination of Italian, German, English, French. In the academic field, I also had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of interpretation techniques at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz - Internationale Sommerschule Germersheim. Since 2019 I have been registered as an Associate Member with AITI - Associazione Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti.

Simultaneous Interpreting
Real-time Interpreting
Simultaneous interpretation is chosen for many events as it is unobtrusive and speeches are interpreted into a number of languages live: that is why it requires preparation and trained experts.
In simultaneous mode, the interpreters work in a soundproof booth, preferably with a direct view of the speaker, interpreting into the target language in real time. Meeting attendees can listen to the interpretation through headsets and can select their preferred language channel.

This is a form of simultaneous interpretation performed by an interpreter who whispers the message in the ear of one or two clients.
Whispered interpretation only works in a minority of situations as the interpreter’s voice may disturb other participants and the interpreter may not hear the speaker properly.

Focus group (marketing) interpreting is a type of interpretation used to facilitate the comprehension of the discussions between the participants of a focus group for the representatives of a brand: a group of people participates in a focus group session inside a room while an interpreter looks at them through a one-way mirror, listening to their conversations and simultaneously interpreting the messages in the target language.
In focus groups people talk naturally about different topics, which means the interpreter must be an experienced professional with the right skills to be able to not only render the meaning but also decipher the body language in order to make the session successful.
Sworn Translations
Legal Services
Sworn translations represent an additional service to the translation itself and are needed when submitting a foreign document to the Italian authorities or vice versa. Sworn translations officially certify the correspondence between the translated text and the original, making the latter valid in the country of destination. The translator must personally go to Court and sign a sworn translation statement which will then be attached to the texts.
Consecutive interpretation is generally used for smaller meetings and diplomatic events: the speakers deliver their speeches before pausing for interpretation. In the meantime, the interpreter takes notes before delivering interpretation in the target language. With consecutive interpretation, the interpreter and the speaker are seated next to one another, therefore reducing equipment needs. It is important to remember that this mode of interpretation doubles up the duration of the speech.

Your Sound Engineer
We can also provide you with any technical equipment you may need. That includes simultaneous booths with headphones and microphones and the full support of our technical experts to manage the sound and equipment. In the case of limited groups of participants, we can offer you a tour-guide system which uses a radio transmitter and headsets, making it light and easy to carry. This is a good option for events such as site visits or small meetings but cannot replace a booth in a conference setting.
